As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in open water with knowledge of safety measures
Able to navigate deep water and use watercraft such as surfboards, paddleboards, and kayaks
Pass lifeguard prerequisite exam, including a 550-meter open water swim and treading water for 2 minutes without hands
Experience working with or teaching children is preferred
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification is a plus
Must be at least 18 years old
